Day 16 Channeled Reading

We've said this before: You try so hard, but often what happens is that you operate from the ego. Set your intention to relax and allow spirit to come to you and speak to you. Release the formal boundaries you place on things such as meditation and Reiki. It's wonderful that you have such reverence for these practices, but if you place such rigid rules for yourself on how to practice them you end up not doing anything because it detracts from the joy of it. You imagine a Yogi sitting in perfect stillness and focus and that is the standard you impose upon yourself. You do not need to be like a Yogi. Meditation can be as simple as taking a few moments to close your eyes, breath naturally and relax. Even a minute or two has benefits. You can also take a moment and close your eyes and send out gratitude for your day and the things in your life that you love and are thankful for. You do not need to commit to sitting for half and hour or more unless that suits you at the time. Over time you will be able to ascertain what works best for you. Be aware that life is full of changes so what you do now may be different from what you do next week or the week after that. The same applies to Reiki. Just as your teacher said, it can be done anytime even while watching TV. The rules you impose on yourself are just that. The universe has no strict guidelines. Intention and sincerity of thought, feelings and will are magnetic and how energy responds.

Our point then is to focus on your intention and try to let go of how you think things should be done. There is no right or wrong way. Do what feels good and then you will feel the peace and connection you desire. We do not want you to be discouraged. This is not a criticism, merely guidance which we hope will help you. We are overjoyed to help when you call upon us.
